Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Who we are
This website is run by McCue Group Pty Ltd (ABN 90 659 993 138) for the band Rice Out The Window. In this policy, "we" and "us" means McCue Group Pty Ltd. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@riceoutthewindow.com.
What we collect
- If you join the Rice Mice: your email address. If you were on our list before this website and gave us your name then, we keep that name with your email.
- If you buy merch: your name, email, postal address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- If you use a form on the site (booking or contact): your name, email and whatever you write in the message.
- When you visit the site: anonymous usage information such as pages viewed, device type and rough location, collected through cookies (see below).
Why we collect it
- To send Rice Mice emails: new music, early listens, gig news, merch and other band news.
- To fill and post merch orders and to answer questions about them.
- To reply to booking and contact enquiries.
- To understand which pages people use, so we can improve the site.
We do not sell your details and we do not use them for anything else.
Rice Mice emails
You only receive Rice Mice emails if you sign up and confirm your address through the link we send you. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Click it and you are removed from the list. You can also email us and we will remove you.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They handle your information on our behalf and under their own privacy policies.
| Provider | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bandzoogle | Hosts the website, the Rice Mice mailing list and the mail service that sends our emails |
| Google Analytics | Measures how the site is used |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Checks that sign-ups and enquiries come from a person, not a bot |
| Cloudflare | Forwards emails sent to info@riceoutthewindow.com |
| Google (Gmail) | Holds the band's inbox, where your emails and enquiries arrive |
These providers are based overseas (Bandzoogle in Canada, Google and Cloudflare in the United States), so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies to make it work (for example, Google reCAPTCHA sets cookies on pages with forms) and Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate, not as information about you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your Rice Mice details until you unsubscribe. We keep order records for as long as Australian tax law requires. We keep enquiries only as long as we need to deal with them.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email info@riceoutthewindow.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it.
Security
Your information is held in accounts protected by strong passwords and limited to the people who run the band's website and mailing list.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
